Top Ten Things I’m Grateful For

Taking a break from the NaNo madness to say…

Happy (upcoming) Thanksgiving ya’ll!

If you happen to be in America. I hope your all having a great time with friends and family, and getting stuffed with turkey! But even if you’re not, you can still participate in the little activity I have in mind for today. Basically it a question and answer.

Here’s the question:

What are you grateful for today?

I know, its corny and cliche, but what the heck, that’s what Thanksgiving is about: giving thanks for all your blessings!

So, I’m going to do two things: share a list of everything I am grateful for, and share a picture of an art page I made a year or two ago of things I was thankful for. And then I’m going to challenge you to do the same thing! You can make your own art page around it, or just do a list (or find some other creative way of expressing thankfulness: some people put slips of paper in a jar. You could also embroidery it on a pillow. Or paint on a window. I dunno. Get creative!).

Alright then. First here’s my picture:

It may look complicated but it wasn’t. I just hot glued the flowers and leaves down then wrote my blessings on them with a sharpie marker. You could probably find the flowers and leaves at a dollar store/pound shop/whatever cheap store your country has on hand (lol). Or you could draw your own and cut them out (or not). It doesn’t have to look like mine in the least. I’m just throwing out ideas.

Another idea is to write them out on slips of paper and simply glue them on a piece of paper…at least that’s what I did on this picture below. I’d been writing these down for several years and sticking them in a jar…and I got tired of the jar taking up space. Lol.

However you do it the important thing is to take time to think about what you have and thank God for it all!

And I’ll close with my list. Here it is…the Top Ten Things I’m Grateful For:

  1. My family
  2. My friends
  3. God
  4. Writing
  5. Art
  6. The Woods
  7. Books
  8. Laughter
  9. Music
  10. Imagination

So what are you thankful for? Share below!
